Do you have an animal lover at home? Join us for unique and exciting summer camps that include interactions with LIVE animals! In addition to the activities planned for each week, your kids will enjoy pony rides, wagon rides and a private encounter with a special live animal.

Week 1: Safari Explorers - For our opening week, kids will become explorers of the plains of the Serengeti and the dark jungles of the amazon! We will learn about animals that come from these regions and meet animals like an African serval cat and Scarlet macaws.

Week 2: Junior Zookeepers - Has your child ever wondered what really goes on behind the scenes at animal parks and zoos? We’ll help feed and groom animals at the Park, and learn about the responsibilities that come with caring for animals.

Week 3: Conservation Helpers - This week we’ll learn all about endangered species around the world and animal conservation. We will make crafts to be sold to Park customers, with all proceeds going to a non-profit organization dedicated to animal conservation!

Week 4: Animal Detectives - We’ll dive deep into the marine life of the ocean and tirelessly search for the animals hidden in the folds of the rainforests! We’ll create a beautiful wall mural which depicts a snapshot of the life we find in the vast ocean and dense rainforest.

Week 5: Mad Botanists - The plants surrounding us are at least as important as the animals we share our world with. This week we’ll plant our own safe and air-cleansing plants and learn about everything plants do for us and our critters!

Week 6: “We’re Animals Too!” - Learn about cool similarities between various animals and humans. Does a lemur have fingernails? How do different species communicate? We will get interesting answers to questions about us and our animal friends!

Week 7: Habitat Specialists - This week we’ll research animal behaviors in their natural surroundings, work with Leesburg Animal Park zookeepers and teachers to create enrichment toys and install the toys into exhibits for the animals to enjoy!

Week 8: Creature Theatre - This week we’ll learn about our favorite animal friends and put together a great production of our favorite animal story! Kids will work together to research their animal character, build the stage and props, rehearse lines and perform at the end of the week!

Week 9: Critter Families - We’ll learn about different types of animal families as we bring the exciting summer to a close. We’ll also enjoy fun, relaxing activities as kids get ready to go back to school. We’ll review everything we learned throughout the summer and play fun group games like Animal Jeopardy!
