Here are instructions for this
month’s suggested project.
MAKE A ZANY ZOO PAL!
1. Gather magazines, old books,
photographs, coloring books, and such than can be cut in pieces.
2. Have kids select 3-6 animals and cut them out.
3. Have kids cut the animals into pieces to separate main
body parts (for example, head, body, tail, wings, legs, etc).
4. Mix up the animals, rearrange the pieces, and glue them
onto a piece of paper to make a new, silly animal.
5. Have the children name the animal.
6. Instruct kids to write about the new animal (to the degree
that their skills dictate). Also depending on their ability,
you may require them to address the animal’s habits,
habitat, and other ecological traits based on the collection
of parts.
Have
fun!
