This month we
are pleased to direct you to two articles on the
EPA’s website regarding environmental education. As
you know, you do not have to teach science exclusively in
order to include elements of environmental education in your
teaching.
This first article provides information
for how to get more active in the process of environmental
education. The second is a tool you can use to test your own
individual knowledge. One of the first steps in helping children
to love, respect, and protect the earth is to empower ourselves
with information. Then we can implement the techniques for
instilling the same information and values in children—who
have a natural sense of wonder regarding the natural world.
